Release notes for version 20.09.30.1558


Another day, another build. Here’s what you have to look forward to in version 20.09.30.1558:

  • NVDA and other screen reader partial speech should now (finally!) be resolved.
  • When spawning asteroids for a new wave, prevent them from spawning on top of each other. This may help with oddly-behaving asteroids on higher waves when the field starts out more crowded.
  • Asteroids are now a bit louder, and a bit quieter when focused.
  • The timer between lives has been shortened from 10 seconds to 5.
  • Builds now expire at the end of October rather than later today.

This release was delayed in part due to some optimizations to help improve performance on mobile and other lower-CPU platforms. Now that the foundation is more solid, I plan to start branching out to determine whether or not console and mobile platforms are viable. Keep your fingers crossed!
